Cementitious Coatings

Never use powder coatings that have absorbed moisture and contain excessive clumps.

Always use the material screen on the hopper to remove powder clumps, paper, and other foreign materials.

Always follow the material manufacturers guidelines for mixing to avoid losing warranty privileges.

Mixing Procedure

Begin mixing without all the liquid. Approximately 4-5 ounces should be held back from a 50 pound bag of material.

Allow the material to false set after fully mixing. This may occur in as little as a couple of minutes or as long as 20-30 minutes. The material will become significantly stiffer when this has occurred.

Add the saved liquid and thoroughly mix. For some products the material manufacturer will allow several ounces of additional water to be added in order to increase the pumpability of the product.

Note: It is important to realize that with powdered materials, it is very necessary to use the process described above in order to avoid the false setting of the material in the hose or on the wall.

Finally, always pour the mixed material through the hopper screen. Never push clumps through the screen and always discard clumps.

Generally begin with a " tip with the pole gun. The hand gun works with some but not all powdered coatings, and may have a tendency to plug up when turned off if you don't have our exclusive patent pending auto reversing technology.
